Next, we go to work cutting out da’ gusset from hell. What we are trying to do
here is get help to fight the constant twisting force coming from a single axle
mounting point as well as isolate these forces from the rest of the frame (where
the tranny and engine sits).
Step 1 is to acquire a piece of radiused plate. The reason this is so much more
than I will eventually need is that the pipe making machine at my vendor’s place
requires this length of steel to make a radius.
