What the Hell is THAT????

When the Valkyrie came out, I’d been fed up with the V-Twin for a while and was looking for something different. I ride with a club, so I couldn’t go get a Royal Slug or a Kawazuki. I’d get the wannabe raz from hell. What I did was find the hidden treasure. A secret kept from the world of bikers cause it looks big and cumbersome. Looks can be very deceiving.

I test drove the Valkyrie and wouldn’t give it back. I’d never been on anything this quick and this big in my life. I was hooked. The salesguy said it was sold and I told him, "yeah, I bought it". I was bigger than him and I won. I took it home and proceeded to ride the &%^$ outta the thing and treat it like I did every other bike I ever owned. It shamed me. It refused to surrender to the abuse I dished out. I’ve wrecked it 4 times, HARD. Each time it just laughed and kept on going. Three weeks after I got her, I got sideways and she threw me off, breaking my collarbone. After she dumped me (on an entrance ramp to the freeway), she went on up the ramp, crossed FOUR LANES of rush hour traffic, slowed to a crawl and fell over by the center retaining wall. DIDN’T EVEN SCUFF A GRIP!!! I figured if it had balance like that, I'd BETTER KEEP HER!!

Once when I was out cruising at night, I got into trouble and had to lay it down. It flipped, mangling the bars and scuffin the crashbars, but was basically unharmed. The same wreck on my old Evo woulda been a total. I stood her up, pulled the bars apart, started her up and drove her home. Total damage was $200!

Since then I’ve put 80,000miles on her with ZERO repairs and basic maintenance. Ten years ago, if anyone had told me I’d have a Honda, I’d have kicked their ass. Now I’ve got one I won’t part with. The only thing I thought might make it better was if I had a chopper. I’ve always loved apehangers and long front ends, but try tellin a frame guy ya want a Honda chopper and they throw ya outta their shop.

My old bro Moses and I decided we could build one and if people liked it we could build a bunch of em. This is the result of a lotta work and frustration, but it paid off when we were awarded BEST of SHOW at the Valkyrie Riders Cruiser Club international Ride-In at Zanesville, OH. We designed her to use %80+ of the old bike, cause not many custom parts exist for her. We used off-the-shelf fenders and tanks (cause they’re cheap!!) and the electrics use all the stock wiring with no modification, making it something anyone can build in a couple of weekends in their garage.

Stock, polished rims look custom when ya mount a Michelin racing tire on the front and a Bridgestone 205 car tire on the back. She’s got a 10 over front end on 40 degrees of rake. Frame is custom, necked up 3.5 inches and out 3. Swingarm and drivetrain are stock. Dual 6-gallon fatbobs frame the airbox. Seat is 3 inches lower than stock. All the stock electrics (including safeties) are used with the exception of 3 high output coils mounted up front. The radiator is lowered and slanted to move airflow under the bike to keep it off the rider. The only engine mods were to desmog to clean up the look and we retained the stock headers and mounted 14""truck stacks to finish the look.

I’ve found no greater enjoyment than the look on some guys face when his $30,000 BigDog just got spanked by my STOCK, 100hp Honda Flat 6.

I hop y’all like our work, we tried best we could without big deep pockets. If yer interested in the frame, write us at tigrmoon@airmail.net, or mail us at TigerMoon, 5750 Bryn Mawr, Dallas, TX, 75209.
