Bolt On Sporty:
Hey Warren,
Great article on the chopper kit. You already put a picture
of my scooter on your
Sportsters of Summer page, But what I forgot to tell you
is I have the Seegercycle Chopper Kit kit installed on it. 13degree
kit with 8" over tubes. I have put 3500 miles on her since
the install and have had no problems. The ride and handling
is great. I'm sending a couple more pics
of my scoot. I'm very interested in how your ride to Sturgis
went and also how people reacted to the bolt-on kit. Ride
Safe!

Road Work:
So how does it ride?
Well, about 100 miles outside of Newcastle, Wyoming the road
gets strange - it goes about 100 yards and then has a big
connection bump. This goes on for about 70-80 miles. I hit this
mess at 75 mph and never missed a beat. The Seegercycle Chopper Kit front
end did not "pogo" and remained rock solid at each impact.
If you go to Colorado Springs in Colorado and point yer scooter
towards Denver, you've got about 65 miles of GROOVED PAVEMENT.
70 mph had the Seegercycle Chopper Kit front end tracking BETTER than the
stock HD front end. No lie, I feel better with this thing on
than stock.
I road the worst rain storm of my life from Mt. Rushmore to Hill
City, SD. It wasn't your roostertail you had to worry about - it
was your wake. The rain was sideways and painful. The front end
tracked like a champion and I never felt "slippy". No problemo.

the Seegercycle (FS) Chopper Kit Front End Installation.
NOTE: To clear up any confusion - there are two bolt on chopper
kits. The one from Seegercycle shown here (also known as the
"FS" kit) and one manufactured by AME. The FS kit is
aluminum and the AME is chrome steel. You can visit them online at
