Parts,
parts and more parts. I coupla' tips I can pass along I've learned
over the years:
1) Label EVERYTHING! Get yerself some big freezer baggies and write on
'em with a sharpy marker stuff like "bolts that hold the exhaust
on". You think you'll remember...but after all these years of gas
and oil fumes, you won't.
2) Keep EVERYTHING! No matter how worked over some trashed out part
is, there's always some part of a part you can reuse. And if you don't
use it for what it was made for, you can always modify it into
something else.
3) Those plastic recycling containers work real good for hauling
around scooter parts, and the bottom never falls out like cardboard
boxes. |

There
she is, ready to go off to Scotts Motors. After some consultation, we
decided to go bigger, but reliability was a major concern, so we're
only going up to 88 cubic inches. It was decided that all S&S
components would be used - jugs, pistons and cam.

A closer looks at the rat's nest. Many
wires had rubbed through the insulation - this had to go!
