You don't think of the bone stock 883 (ok, not bone, it had the 1200 kit) as the best starting point for a truly classic street chopper, but that didn't seem to slow Kevin down one bit. Apparently after surfing his way through this site, he saw something he really liked - or perhaps a combination of things. Whatever it was, Kevin decided to get down and funky with the big rebuild, and the sportster was to be stock no more. Originally a 1986 XL 883 (with 1200 kit already installed) purchased in 2002 and ridden until the summer of 2004.
