We put the speedo on the left
side of the engine to keep the clutter off the handle bars
(notice it lights blue to highlight the color of the bike). All
of the breakers are hidden behind the old ignition cover. Took
all switches off the handle bars and mounted them to the
ignition cover ie: Ignition switch, headlight (low-off-high) and
turn signals. Of course I haven't decided if I'm installing turn
signals, but, the switches are there if I do.
Sissy bar was hand fabricated with a channel welded to the
inside of the rails, then smoothed down. This allowed me to have
the maltese stop/tail light without zip tying wires to the bar.
Also curved a channel around the front of the frame to hide the
headlight wire. All cables are coated braided steel which
offsets the paint chrome pretty well.
I really like the retro look, some of us can't get out of the
"sixties".
Glad you like the bike, there's a lot of cool rides/stories/ads
EVERYTHING in your mag. Like I said, it was the stuff in your
mag that made me try this...............
THANKS!!!
...wasn't nothing Kev, looks like you did all the work!
