Typically I would jig up the axle holder and the rear fork leg in the frame jig. However, here again, thanks to all the flat, square edges, I was able to get a nice flat fit-up on the table as well as being able to use a straight edge to line up the angles.

I like to run my down-tube all the way into the front motor mount to give the frame the lower rigidity necessary to skip the top motor mount as I have been know to do. Below is a picture of a 1x1 solid bar tacked in place to give me a place to weld the bottom end of the down-tube. This will also give the down tubing the offset necessary to clear the front exhaust tube.

One of the ideas that had come in the flood was to use the iron cross gussets that I sell to frame builders on my site (as frame gussets) for front motor mount cradles. This also will help add to the whole squareness “look” by not having bent lower frame rails that meet the down-tube. Had them CNC cut in ¾” cause these gotta’ be strong since they will weld directly to the front motor mount. This area will also get some additional bracing to be covered next time.
