The picture below illustrates how the spring assembly and
the spring fork tubes/rods all come together near the neck.

I won’t bore you by stepping you through all the usual steps from billet to
machining in the making of the rockers, but thought it would be worth showing a
quality check on the way to final drill and tap. Below at the left end of the
rocker is the 5/8” axle we will use and on the right end is a ½”-13 bolt
threaded through both pieces of billet for the rockers. This is done in order to
ensure perfect alignment and duplication between both pieces used on this set.

And, here are a couple of pictures of how the rockers attach at the wheel end.
Keep in mind that the studs in the picture are not screwed in all the way. The
threads must protrude enough to put a locking nut securely in place. I plan to
also drill and tap the nuts for set-screws to lock them in place as well.
