Now we start to add some dimension to the piece by tacking on some of the 2” sides. We decided to start with the straight sides – that we have at the top and bottom where it is not curved – so as to simplify the process of determining how to cut and bend the curved sides. The 2 pictures that follow illustrate this.


With front and back tacked on we can begin to see this “take shape.”

Well, we've all been pretty damn busy over the fall and into the winter - but Big Daddy's been making progress. I guess things just take a bit longer when you really give a shit about what you do - and that is CLEAR in this chapter. I have never seen anybody spend as much time on one part as this oil tank - but when it's all said and done, ol' BD has something no one else has...total bike-building class.
