By the way I learned how to weld many times !!!!!!!!!!! this is something everyone should practice.
You can never practice enough....... That's a fact...

My dad helped with all sorts of things like "loaning tools", and advice that probably kept me from doing things 10 times. He also stitched my seat cover , he does leather work on saddles and stuff. He also has other bikes going , an original Panhead, a BSA Goldstar, and he restored a 1937 Indian Chief.

Finally I was ready to get things going , so I fitted the S&S E carb using the original style internal wire linkage for the throttle, I used a copper pipe fitting and tubing for the connection of my throttle linkage to the carb. I also fabricated a throttle lever for the super E to accept my wire instead of the cable...

I also cut an original seat pan narrower to fit me better in kick starting. I didn't like the wide pan . The pan is secured with a fabricated seat mount that fits inside the original frame down tube, so I didn't modify too much on the frame.

The next problem was the exhaust pipes. I finally came up with the design for showing as much cam cover as possible. I welded everything up and pieced out the pipes until I got it right. These are the first pipes I have ever made and they came out ok.

Now the bike is finished and I set up the jockey shifter and original Harley foot clutch.
I also raised the handlebars with hand made risers that are threaded into the top of the springer fork.
All of the headlight , blinkers, and tail light mounts are fabricated by myself. I also have a very loud air horn mounted behind the transmission. I hope you like this bike, patience is supreme!!!
