8. The neck raked out approximately one inch.


9. By eyeball you can pretty well tell if you have pulled the neck up straight, or if it has gotten off center. If it does appear to be off center you can straighten it with a few slugs from a sledge.


10. Welding in a spacer will be a lot easier if you take a file and smooth the edges of the lower cut.

11. You'll need to cut some places out of sheet stock, a triangular one to fill the cut in the neck and a rectangular one to fill the cross-brace on the bottom.
