What a difference a kit makes: the top is the "before" photo, the bottom is "after".

Are ya starting to get excited to see how all this cool stuff will come together?

Well, the before and after shots on the left should get you going. The scoot is mine (an 86 softail) and the entire process took about 8 hours. This doesn't include shagging parts and tools that we found we needed along the way. We'll keep track of those, so if you decide to do this operation you might be able to get it done a bit quicker. We also spent an evening adjusting the fork tube spacers for a little more comfortable ride after the first "round-the-block" test.

When you consider the amount of time it would take to do a frame chop (and re-assembly) this is fairly amazing. Also, there are some goons out there in the marketplace who don't think bikes with chopped frames "hold their value", so if ya wanna sell your scoot, you can always re-assemble the old front end.
